The Capital Investor Entrant Scheme is an immigration scheme launched by the Hong Kong SAR Government to provide eligible persons with the opportunity to move to Hong Kong through capital investment, commonly known as "investment immigration". Applicants are required to invest $30 million or more (which can be invested in assets such as stocks, funds, bonds, but excluding real estate) to enhance the development advantages of the asset and wealth management, financial and related professional services sectors in Hong Kong. After meeting the investment management requirements and having ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for a continuous period of seven years, the investor and his/her family members (i.e. spouse and unmarried children under the age of 18) may apply to become permanent residents of Hong Kong.
